July 22, 2020. The Ninth Circuit Court in Alfred, et al. v. The Walt Disney Co. overturned a motion to dismiss in this unpublished decision. The plaintiffs will be allowed to litigate their copyright infringement claim regarding Defendants’ Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl film.
